DUFFERS GOLF ASSOCIATION(DGA)
An Invitation
To golfers of limited ability who agree that we are entitled to an association that will have activities geared to our level of play. The DGA was started in 1992 by a bunch of us duffers who wanted to hold an annual scramble format golf tournament. We invited our duffer friends and made four person teams. The scramble format worked out great for us inconsistent golfers. We have decided to invite all duffers (golfers with mid to very high handicaps)to join us. We will hold at least two scramble tournaments annually. In addition, the Association will compute and keep up to date, an official DGA Handicap Index for all members that post scores with us, and will publish the index monthly. Membership application.
Membership Information
The reason for the existence of The Duffers Golf Association is to get together at as many scramble tournaments as there is interest in holding. They are, and will continue to be, very affordable, with entry fees being barely large enough to cover green fees, provide DGA logo merchandise and meals to all entrants, and prize money to the top few finishers. The Association will compute and keep up to date, an official DGA handicap for all members, and will publish them monthly. The Association will sponsor a minimum of two tournament annually, more if there is sufficient member interest. There are no membership fees or any other charges. Membership Application
